Director’s Message

We function in a world with an overabundance of information but not enough data to support conclusions. The Bureau of Economic Research remains focused on making available reliable and accurate data to ensure our territory’s public and private partners make informed decisions. Together, our team has over 60 years of experience in managing data and is continuously taking steps to improve how data are collected, analyzed, and shared. We have set goals to utilize data to facilitate economic development opportunities, generate meaningful public policy, create impactful partnerships, advise the Office of the Governor, and support all sectors in grant initiatives to ensure economic growth and stability for the territory. This website serves as a conduit for accessing up-to-date data. My team and I understand the critical importance of data and look forward to educating and supporting our stakeholders as we rebuild a more resilient United States Virgin Islands.
